At least 20 high school students in Oregon were suspended over a tweet, and now there is controversy about the school's policy on free speech.
The students were suspended after retweeting a tweet about a staff member. The tweets were consideredcyberbullying.
The original post claimed that a female teacher at the school flirts with her students.
Now, parents, students and others in the community are wondering whether the school's punishment was appropriate or if it was an overreaction that violated the students' First Amendment rights.
A branch of the American Civil Liberties Union thinks the school was treating the students unfairly.
