Colorado colleges have seen a dramatic rise in out-of-state applications since the legalization of marijuana, but officials say it has nothing to do with that.

Applications at the University of Colorado are um 30% since Amendment 64 made recreational weed legal.

Officials say it has nothing to do with pot though, it’s because they’ve increased recruitment at high schools across the country and overseas.

One official says the pro-marijuana law could actually put a drag on applications since parents don’t want their kids going to school to toke up.
