A city in south Florida is thinking about extending a law banning saggy pants to include women.

City commissioners have tentatively approved an ordinance authorizing police to ticket women as well as men for wearing their pants low enough to show their underwear.

The city put the ban on men in 2007 which included parks and buildings but was extended in 2010 to include all public places.

People violating the law can be fined for $500 or do community service.
