If you live in the dance music scene, you know how expensive everything has gotten; the prices of tickets for festivals have soared, as well as admission into venues in Ibiza, Miami, and Vegas to see some of the biggest names. One person that knows about it all too well is Steve Angello, formerly of the Swedish House Mafia.
Steve tells Evolution, "I think it's great that the scene has turned out this big, we've all worked very hard to get it here." He continues, "I think at the same time, there's a lot of people that want into the scene just because it's the new hottest genre of music and you can make money off it. Those people will lose in the long run."
Steve has definitely seen his share of the growth of the dance music community, DJ'ing since he was 12 years old and famously being one-third of the Swedish House Mafia...who separated 2 years ago at Ultra Music Festival.
How did it feel to play the last show as Swedish House Mafia in front of 75,000 fans? And what does the future hold for Steve and his label Size Records? Check out the interview, as we get you All Access with Steve Angello.
