22-Year-Old Tired Of Getting Dragged Over Her 52-Year-Old Husband

The heart wants what it wants, and sometimes that means you have to put up with a lot of shade from the haters. It's something 22-year-old Chelsea Maynard learned after marrying the love of her life, Bruce Maynard, who just happens to be 30 years older than her. Chelsea loves her husband but is tired of strangers thinking they are grandfather and granddaughter. She was once even handed a children's menu when she went out to eat with Bruce.

The pair met at a coffee shop in 2017. Bruce, a 52-year-old retired car dealer, suggested which drink Chelsea should get and they hit it off, spending hours talking. They got married eight months after Chelsea turned 21 and have been happier than ever.

However, she spoke to The Mirror about what she experiences saying, "I have always been told it is 'super sweet' that I still take my grandpa out to eat." Even with the comments and the stares, she considers herself "the luckiest girl in the world."

As for why she prefers Bruce to other men, Chelsea explained, "I find boys my age so immature and with Bruce, it was easy, we are both car enthusiasts and have a love for traveling and animals. It has been two years and we have not argued once; we are in sync and our communication is nothing like I have ever experienced before."

Bruce is pretty pleased too, noting, "I never thought someone Chelsea's age would be interested in me nor be able to converse with me. Chelsea left me feeling intrigued after our coffee - she has an old soul." He added, "Most men my age are still working and retire when they are old, I have never wanted to live like that. Even my friends are in their 30s, men my age are boring - Chelsea and I love an adventure and to travel."

Bruce went on to state, "People always stare in the street but I know deep down they are thinking 'what a lucky guy' and they are right, I am. She is a beautiful young lady with intelligence who keeps me young."

Bruce and Chelsea live in Tennessee and, interestingly, breed Sphynx cats.
