Chrissy Teigen is thankful to be alive after experiencing an "erroneous take-off" just before her flight departed on Monday (June 3). According to Entertainment Tonight, the concerned mother-of-four explained the scary situation to fans via her Instagram story in a series of frantic videos and posts.
"We just had something called an erroneous take-off. We were going 1,000 miles an hour to takeoff and then came to a complete stop for like three seconds. I was bracing for impact, absolutely positive that we were braking because we were going to hit something."
She continued:
"I became very religious all of a sudden. I was like 'Praise the Lord. Praise be!' We're going back to the gate. I am so grateful for these pilots and the plane for doing what it was supposed to do."
An extremely unnerved Teigen proceeded to share updates about the horrifying experience and tagged her husband, John Legend, in a few of the posts asking him to answer his phone. After the initial shock subsided, the iconic model and author returned to her Instagram stories to joke about the situation, shedding light on what very well could have been her last story ever (beer cheese on a menu at the airport) had things gone wrong.
"All my last photos on Daily Mail would be like 'she had beer cheese. That was her last meal...beer cheese...' My last words were nearly 'Memaw's beer cheese.'" Aside from poking fun at her "final meal," the reality TV standout voiced her concern about switching planes, stating that all of the passengers celebrated a safe return to the runway, but she wondered if she did in fact die, and was just transported to "the 60's somehow."
"We died and now we're in Mad Men times." Teigen concluded the worrisome series by assuring fans and followers that she made it to her destination safely and that everything turned out ok.
