Leighton Meester is sharing her relatable secret to a lasting marriage.
In a new interview with People, the Gossip Girl alum revealed the seemingly straightforward secret to her 12-year marriage with husband Adam Brody. The couple, who met on the set of The Oranges, went public with their romance in February 2013 and tied the knot one year later. They share two children, daughter Arlo born in 2015 and a son born in 2020 whose name has not been shared publicly.
"It's so funny, because the other night somebody asked me that, and I was like, 'I wish I had the answer,' [but] I think just liking each other, and getting along is a big part of it," she said. "It is sort of at a base level what it's about. Just being like, 'I really like this person.'"
Meester's revelation comes a year after her husband shared another "secret" to keeping their marriage going strong, even more than a decade into their relationship. While walking the red carpet of the 2025 Golden Globes, the Nobody Wants This actor told Access Hollywood that their arrangement of "de facto separate toilets" keep them "one layer farther away from the kids and one layer more deep with privacy."
