Woman's Random Photo Of Strangers Changes Her Life

Joyce Rhinehart has a strange habit of taking photos any time she sees strangers having cute family moments, which is why while she was out with her grandson for some ice cream, she had the urge to ask a random family she saw if she could snap a pic of them enjoying their treats.

The Ohio mom then gave her phone to one of the strangers so they could text themselves the picture. She thought nothing of the encounter until weeks later when she received a message from a strange number.

It came on Father's Day and read:

"Dear madam, you took our picture in front of Rita's on June 8th. My wife has passed away yesterday and this is the last picture we have together as a family. Please accept my deepest gratitude for your kindness, it means the world to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."Joyce started corresponding with the man and learned that his wife had been sick for a year. She expressed how her heart is "heavy for this sweet family," but was grateful she listened to her gut that day and unknowingly gave them "a tremendous gift" with her photo.

Few things will bring more comfort to the family than the smile on the mother's face in the photo and Joyce feels "the hand of God" directed her to take that picture.

She's vowed to continue her life by never underestimating "a simple act of random kindness."
