This man, World II veteran William Lapschies, had the best birthday ever on Wednesday after celebrating his recovery from coronavirus. He celebrated his 104th birthday with family members in Oregon.
“He is fully recovered. He is very perky – and he is very excited,” daughter Carolee Brown told OregonLive.com.
Photos were posted online showing his birthday bash outside with balloons and a big “Happy Birthday” sign. Attendees practiced social distancing by wearing masks.
Oregon had a 95-year-old veteran in Yamhill County survive the virus as well.
