CELEBRITIES QUITTING TWITTER

As we told you FridayElon Musk now owns Twitter. This has sent tremors through Hollywood as celebrities are trying to figure out their place in this brave new world. Among those tweeting what they say are their final tweets as they say goodbye to the social media platform: "This Is Us" director Ken Olin, "Greys Anatomy"/"Bridgerton" creator Shonda Rhimes, and GRAMMY-award winning singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles.

Meanwhile, some celebs are taking the opposite approach, as director Rob Reiner tweeted out: 

And LeBron James took a more general approach:
As for Elon himself, he had this to say: "The reason I acquired Twitter is because it is important to the future of civilization to have a common digital town square, where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner, without resorting to violence. There is currently great danger that social media will splinter into far right wing and far left wing echo chambers that generate more hate and divide our society."
