The research, involving over 10,000 participants, found that people with sedentary lifestyles who consumed coffee daily had a lower risk of death from heart disease and other causes.
The benefits were most pronounced in those drinking over 2.5 cups per day. While the protective effects of coffee remain unclear, its antioxidants and potential to improve metabolism and reduce inflammation could play a role.
